Chasing new engines which are more sophisticated, faster and more safe we almost forgot about the old timers. My favorite car from the old times is Supernatural 1967 Chevrolet Impala.
This masterpiece became re-emerging among the new generations. The reason for that is taking a big roll in the popular serial movie “Supernatural”.
With a glint of chrome and the dusty black paint, this Chevy Impala conquers the spectators. This 18 feet long badass is powered by a 502 cubic inch big-block.
For Winchester brothers, this car is more than necessary transportation. Sam and Dean are both emotionally connected to this Impala. Because this car is the only possession they have got from their long-lost father.
Even this model was most expensive in the 1960’s, still became the best-selling car in the United States at that time.
For the first time, the Impala name was used at the full-sized show for 1956 General Motors Motorama.
But the Supernatural 1967 Chevrolet Impala was less decorated than the other Impalas. This model focused on brightwork of the interior and exterior parts.
The wheel covers were the same like previous Impala models, just innovated with the SS logo in the center 1967 Impala was available in two inner variants. One of them offered vinyl bucket seats, other Strato-Bench seat.
So, the customers could choose their favorite. As far as the engine is concerned, all Chevrolet models from 1966 to 1969 have same specifics. They used Turbo Thrift with 250 cu in (4.1 L) and 155 bhp.
About safety, Supernatural 1967 Chevrolet Impala was rated as good by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
According to them, this car had good structural performance and very little chance of any significant injury in a crash.
